Crowdfunding Lagniappe, Part Deux – November 2022

Hey board gamers, BJ from Board Game Gumbo here back from BGG Con 2022. We will be posting some of our favorite games and experiences, but I wanted to draw your attention to some cool projects that came across the Gumbo Pot. Legendary Metal Coins Season 7

Drawlab Entertainment produces some of the most beautiful metal coins out there, and their Season 7 Kickstarter project is live right now.

From their press release:

Drawlab Entertainment is super excited to present you the 7 new coin sets celebrating the 200 different metal coin designs that are included in the 60 unique thematic coin sets. Each coin has been designed in Greece by Michael Kontraros Collectibles and created by Drawlab Entertainment.
Season 7 includes some new coins like:

  • Forged Coin sets: A 3-d design of 3 favorite themes, Pirates, Elves and a new one, Dinosaurs!
  • Arkham game tokens: The tools you will need to Investigate the horrors in the worlds created by H. P. Lovecraft
  • 2 New Sets. The Halfling coin set and the Venetian Renaissance coin set
  • 1 New Unit Set, the Gold Pieces Unit set, ideal for your D&D adventures

It is also the last Kickstarter campaign that all the Legendary Metal Coin sets will be available since there are plans to discontinue some sets in 2023. Backers will be able to receive the Complete Collector Set to get all the different Legendary Metal Coins designs.

The project is already fully funded, but there’s still three days to check it out. And there’s some lagniappe: new sets have been unlocked, and every backer gets an extra gold coin (with a chance to unlock more.)

Let us know what you think about these coin sets. Until next time, laissez les bon temps rouler!
