Adam Dalton’s blog on BGG is always insightful and entertaining. It’s a good mix of session recaps, designer thoughts, and deep dives into games from many years of cardboard.
Besides being a prolific blogger, Adam is also a designer with numerous games to his credit. (I have one of his designs, K’uh Nah, on my Shelf of Opportunity right now!) This month, he is releasing a 54 card game called Balancing Act through the Gamecrafter and it just went on a crowdfunding sale.
I have not played Balancing Act, but it looks like another twist on the classic colors and numbers card games that I grew up around. There’s a quick video on the Gamecrafter site that shows off the game, plus there is also a designer diary in Adam’s blog if you want even more information.
You can check out Balancing Act and the Gamecrafter crowdfunding sale right here.
We like spotlighting indy designers and publishers especially those that utilize the Gamecrafter to connect directly to hobbyists. If a classic card game is something that fits your game group, you might want to check out the project while it is on sale.
If you do, let me know what you think of the game. Until next time, laissez les bon temps rouler!
